In this article the writer has taken Barry McNally,a carpenter,who lost his job in Ireland.He had been in Newyork as a tourist for three months. He returned to his homeland but came back soon and staying here .McNally who is 25 now,is living as an immigrant like other Irish people who have been flooding in USA because of the economic collapse of Ireland.And their first choice has been none other than Newyork.Orla Keller ,another Irish who runs Aisling Irish community center in Yonkers,believes that the migration of Irish people has increased in the past years.Similarly,Tara Skehan,24,a qualified accountant back home,works a s a part timer in a Irish shop.Now Irish immigrants are fighting with other migrants and out of work Americans for jobs in hard time economy.Lot of Irish people have college or Master's degree but most of them have been compromised in construction industry.In spite of the struggling situation here in USA,they think it's better to work here for 2 or 3 days than not doing at all in Ireland.A huge number of Irish immigrants don't have papers today.They are coming here for St. Patty Day, and once they land here,they hardly go back.
