The serial bomb blasts that occurred in Mumbai shattered the confidence of many people in the country. It may be very easy for anybody to condemn the attack, but very difficult to digest the agony of the people who suffered severely from thre attack. The G-8 summit no doubt condemned the attack but the solution to these problems seems nowhere in sight. The attacks lead to several arrests from all over the country and invariably includes several innocents. This again leads to a chain of further attacks and distruction in the country and thus there seems to be no end to such henious activities. The sufferer at large is the innocent common man, who does not have any role either in the attacks or the grieviences the terrorists grudge for. The Government needs to isolate such elements and punish them , even while protecting them from the unnecessary harrasment by the security agencies. There is aso dire requirement to strengthen the overall policing system in the country so that such things wont repeat in future. The police may express unhappiness over the lack of manpower to challengesuch crimes. Police should be made responsible for the crimes that take place in their jurisdiction, who think that their duty is only to simply file a complaint and investigate , but not to prevent. If the police is strict in its duties, such incidents will never occur. The political parties , instead of blaming each other should stand together in the fight against terrorism. Instead of blaming the parties in power, they should realse that all political parties failed in combating terrorism andnever tried to find the reasons for such activities. Instead of such statesmanshiplike behaviour, the political parties are bent upon currying the benefits of such hazardous situations for earning votes and enhancing the vote bank.
