Government support for pharmaceutical industry
The provincial pharmaceutical industry meeting was held in the city on Wednesday. The meeting reiterated the importance of enhancing development of the province’s pharmaceutical industry and the aim is to achieve a gross production total of RMB36 billion on the 11th Five-year Plan(2006-2010) period. Key pharmaceutical companies will be given support from the government to improve competitiveness and creativity. Medicine research and development will also be given priority. In addition, medicine logistics development and the formation of medicine production chains are to pick up. A pharmaceutical industry logistics center is to be built at the Lotus Wholesale Market.
