REALITY BITES !!
Chilled winter morning, when the dew was set at its place all over, early hours when even the sun was still lazy to wake up and the cool breeze was walking with padded feet into my room producing a sweet disturbance waking me up, and reminding me of the daily chores, I woke up lazily and prepared myself for my meditation and after it ,completed my pooja (a religious thing),then had a fuming coffee with lots of froth and being a bit sweet toothed sprinkled some chocolate over, and was enjoying every sip of my coffee, taste buds of my tongue having the pleasure of the flavour of the coffee beans was really a wonderful beginning of my day. Me being a person who u can say is fanatic about reading, was very much waiting for my daily newspaper The Indian Express .The bell rang and I guessed right ,it was the newspaper. I was glued to my sofa and was taking a glance over the contents. I was looking into the comic column where I really enjoy the Carl Anderson comic pick Henry. The comic pick though has very least conversation in it has a different kind of passion of conveying the message .That was something which attracted me to go through that column daily. All of a sudden to my laughter over the comic pick , my mind just travelled quick without taking a second to a serious thought in my mind .It was just a picture presenting a kid nearly eight years was on the rope tied to the two poles and walking over it and showing her skill for earning money .I was really touched by that view. A thought blinked in my mind that , doesn't this little girl deserve more that what she is getting now? Definitely yes.I could see the girl wearing a smile on her face but her eyes showed the intricacy. Her mind jumbled with many possibilies may be, all this was seen in her eyes. I could read the story behind her eyes, it was much much more than her beautiful and innocent eyes, eyes filled with worry, dilemma, sorrow, and a sight of hers which probably was showing that she was destined to be so. In India we find such incidents or you say activities on every street. People belonging to the lower classes use it as the easy way to earn and are ready to even put their little ones into the risky job.
How can one take the responsibility of the other when they themselves are irresponsible? The kid at that age who has rights , who deserves to be in school, and get educated amongst us was on street ,walking on ropes. Who is responsible for deteriorating her career? Of course everyone of us. Wondering how everyone? Well, it's because we are supporting the deed by paying off when we see such drama on roads, instead of opposing such an ill act. Parents definitely play the greater part of holding the sin, secondly, we who know its wrong , we who being literate and still clap our hands seeing the drama, are even a part of the wrong doing . When being educated, we support such a deed don’t you think it’s the most shameful act we do? Of course yes. I learnt from a book of Robin Sharma , yes the authour of the Leadership Wisdom that ,whenever we avoid doing something right we fuel the habit of doing wrong and become the victims of the peccadillo. Then why do we want to step in to it when we are aware that it’s a wrong deed and we shouldn’t support it? Why to avoid something good? Why cant we come forward to fight for justice? By not putting efforts on some good work we are doing injustice to ourselves and humanity. I feel we can only get this into a dead end by educating people whenever we come across such incidents that it's ruining the life of the kids. Its a child labour and the biggest offense. We not only being a proud citizen of our country ,should also realise our main motives as a social animal and should put hands together to eradicate the child labour in our country and I am sure one day we will see each little kid in our country holding booksin their hands .
