Subway construction safety on agenda
Safety measures are being taken in the city’s subway construction. The Chengdu Construction Committee requires that a weekly safety check be carried out in subway construction sites and institutions involved in subway plan, reconnaissance, design, construction and construction supervision should be on guard against any possible hidden dangers in building the subway. A special expert team is to be set up to guarantee safe construction and participate in relief word if any accident occurs. Projects of high safety risk can only be undertaken after the expert team works out safety standards.
