Have you ever heard of Kseniya Sobchak? Why, she is Russia's own It girl!
Being the only daughter of the late Mr Anatoliy Sobchak, the former St Petersburg mayor, who was supported by Margaret Thatcher, Kseniya does a lot to establish her own brand - 'Brand Sobchak'.
She is a popular TV diva with her own reality show 'Dom' ('The House') at that.The show, presented by the 'Paris Hilton of Moscow' on one of Russian TV channels, is extremely popular with the Russian teenagers.Thus, and there is no wonder about it, Kseniya is already in the list of Russia's super-rich, being a millionairess a few times over.
She claims that the money is neither her father's (of course not as mayors are always as poor as church mice) nor
any of her rich lovers. One in the string of those elegible and very rich men was the Chechen businessman, once banned from the USA, under suspicion over the assisanation of his American friend.
Kseniya does insist that the money has been earned from her televion activities and appearances at events and parties of the Russian celebrities.
Is she on the A-list there thanks to the facts we have already mentioned? Or is it because she is in touch with the Russian President? When she was a baby her father, an early liberal of new Russia had an unknown aide whose name was Vladimir-guess-who?
She takes her holidays in Courchevel amongst the super-rich and super politicians. She also goes to Corsica and restaurants and presentations, as she says, in order to see her friends.
No doubt she attracts everybody's attention as she presents the Russian style, youth and culture.
Her mother who is a member of the Russian Parliamentis naturally very proud of her daughter and awfully happy to see Kseniya continue the dynasty.
