STRESS AND OBESITY Stress, obesity and health are closely linked. There are varying opinions on whether stress actually has any telling impact on our cardiovascular ailment or not, but researches proved that frequent stress responses of our body increases a host of molecules potentially dangerous for the optimal health of the heart. Obese person seems to have higher levels of Low density Lipoprotein (LDL, the bad form of Cholesterol) and other lipid type such as Triglycerides because stress delays the processing and clearance of these fats, their accumulations put people at risk of developing Atherosclerosis and other heart diseases. People who are overweight are more likely to suffer from high blood pressure, high level of Triglycerides and LDL cholesterol and low level of HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol). These are all risk factors for heart attacks. In addition people with more body fat have higher blood levels of substances that causes inflammations, inflammations in blood vessels and throughout the body may raise heart disease risk. Participation in good life management programmes managed by Doctors, dieticians may help in release f stress and in promotion of healthy life style.
