Abstract 22   By Parvusvox   Title: Dead Alligator found Clogging Drain in Adams   By: Rebecca S. Green and Becky Mankey, The Journal Gazette, Fort Wayne, IN 4/18/07   Have wild alligators ever been known to roam north of the 44 degree latitude? Or, was it someone’s dead pet that was just too big to handle? Authorities found a seven alligator clogging a catch basin on 4/17/07. There are many invasive species in the Great Lakes Region of the U.S.A.. This one had been dead for about  a week. Another Fossil a horned Crocodile was found in Colorado. The age of The Reptile is called the Paleocene. It was 55 million years ago. The alligator found in Northeastern  Indiana weighed approximately 120 pounds. This makes the age estimate at 14 (+-)7 years of  age. --   I propose a null-hypothesis that the gator was not a pet but rather a wild one that migrated north. There have been no other articles relating to this one since that week and no one has come forward claiming it was theirs. Of course,  they probably will not because their going to get the bill from the Authorities who handled it… [T] this is an important article because  even if it was  pet it points to growing problem of invasive species in Indiana, The Great Lakes States, elsewhere in the USA and Internationally.  Rex S.  The Parvusvox Journal
