Why me Lord
It was rain and windy day on the 6th of July 1969 , when a two couples of Africa celebrated the birth of a baby boy. The mother of the child had to walk more than ten kilometres to reach the maternity ward of Mnene hospital , in the dust and mountanious district of Mberengwa in Zimbabwe
Though the couple were celebrating the birth of their baby son , there was one thing , they were worried of, that was the struggle, for the so called freedom. they call their son Robert , for thy were influenced by how Robert Mugabe was managing their struggle. At the age of four , one winter day , Robert woke up early only to find his father sitting at a home made fire place, he rushed , with love to his father , only to be chased by the oldman . He was told to bring firewood if he want to warm himself, Robert as child did not understand, he progressed to the father wher he was punished severely. He learnt from that day that life was very difficult , but for a four year old to be independent its not easy.
In 1977 , Robert was seven and he enrolled an Rengwe Primary School, as a grade one pupil, the year was marked with so many difficulties , with Rob , going to school , without shoes and school uniforms, he was even mocked by other fellow people , which affected him till today. Winter walking four kilometres without shoes for seven year boy its not a joke, but ther is nothing Robert could do. December holidays in Zimbabwe were markee with so many active events , with christmas day marked with new clothes , a dish of sliced bread without butter or jam, but to Rob , it was an ordinary day to some exstent without food. But in 1980 Rob as a child didn't understand , what politics was , so he had elders celebrating , and chanting freedom songs , saying we are finally free , he thought even him was free , of poverty at last. But this was not the case , as he carry on spending christmas holidays , without new clothes, and going to chool , with nobody paying for him school fees. Fortunately for Rob , by then , the country polices we in favour of citizens which result in him going up to O'level for free. The country was under the same Robert Mugabe by then, and he is the same man today when Rob is thirty six. I met Rob recently when I interviewed him , he was in tears, as he is now imagining what is happening to those poor pupil right now. I met Rob in South Africa , where he is an illigal immigrant, he said ( I from hell number one to hell number two) he was detained and deported five times , but simple because when he is in detention camp he gets some food, that keeps him going.
The situation in Zimabwe can not be viewed as stable and if the United nations , can not do something , now , the leadership of the body will be accused in the long run for negligence. we real do not expect anything from South Africa , for the South African economy is cashing in through, the collapse of Zimbabwean economy.Remember Funeral Parlours make money by burying people , though they wont ecourage , the slaughter of human biengs, their businesses can only survive with it. If you can remeber that , tourists used to flock to Zimbabwe to see wild animals , its all different now, for they all prefer to go to Kruger National Park and other venues in the region. Zimbabwe , is very rich with people picking Gold in the river banks , world 's second platinum producer, copper, coal, emeralds , diamonds, etc, one will not understand if he see these people , suffering like this. All this happens because of greed and selfishness, of not only Robert Mugabe , but leaders like British Prime Minister Mr Tony Blair and USA president Mr George Bush. These are only the forces who can real stop Mugabe Madness
This is a true story and there are so many Zimbanweans who went to school , for free but are begging for food in South Africa and other countries , is it becaus Zimbaweans are not Christians? or Is it the Lord is is punishing them because of Mugabe? But Muge is the richest man on earth that means he is no suffering.
