The comment that ‘smartest nations’ will be a better terminology rather than ‘developing/developed country’ is subject to different interpretations.
Will the U.S.A. be considered a smart country? Yes. But will its government be considered a smart government? I think that leaves it for much debate! What Bush’s administration did in Iraq and with the Katrina issue is a big question! I do not personally consider that smart but an act of trickery! They did not find that elusive Weapons of Mass Destruction, right? They were able to boot out Saddam, isn’t it? They should have just reimbursed Iraq for all the damage they caused including moral, personal, psychological damages equivalent to 100% each for the actual material damage. Then, let the people of Iraq decide what they want to happen. The U.S. government has caused so much pain, sorrow and loss to the people of Iraq. A lifetime would not even erase the memory of it. This is not even to include the loss of families whose soldiers’ lives were sacrificed for nothing.
Katrina was no coincidence! It battered a part of the U.S. to show the world that they have 37 million citizens in dire need of help! Other hurricanes threatened those parts again to wake up the government.
The U.
S. per capita income is one of the most respectable. But not for the 37 million! Is that smart?!? The governments and nations that did not believe in the WMD issue are smart. Those that believed it, what now? Will the U.S. of A. government stop trying to be smart. The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) revealed their smartness when the late Eddie Guerrero came up with the “Lie, Cheat and Steal” slogan. If WWE were a government, it has been ‘lying, cheating and stealing’ for several years now, right? They lie about physical aspect of the sport, except for some of the accidents, of course! They cheat people into patronizing them! They steal from those who buy their false acts turned into CDs, DVDs, magazines, paraphernalia etc! Now is that not similar to what happened in Iraq? They fooled the world to fear the WMD, then cheated their own people’s tax money for expenses in the war instead of ‘starting charity at home’ for the 37 million! What they stole from the lives of the Iraqi people is unimaginable!
