Contact the council if you have an query that does not relate to this magazine : City View, pushed through the
door or better still, contact the editor with readers' suggestions so are we being reprimanded by
City View or is it just a friendly push in the right direction. Lets continue, with Councillor Royston Smith Leader of Southampton City Council and good news which is 3OO jobs will be created by further improvements to Ocean Village ... the £45O million waterfront Royal Pier development will create hundreds more: Housing estates aare to improve and local areas are undergoing a largest estate regeneration project in the history of Southampton City meaning better housing and more jobs.

There are a number of articles on local issues adding to this is: Music Services Jazz Award: SMS Southampton Music services has scooped two awards from the National Music Education Council ... . well done! - Nobody forgets a good teacher features Tamasin Gale Page who is described as a hardworking and inspiring teacher
at school who has been teaching for eight years and now works at The Sholing Technology College: and she is quoted as saying: "I love my job ..the best thing .. it has /is/ to be with the kids .... so rewarding to watch a child grow and develop their skills" Former pupils come back I guess to say "Thanks" makes it ... worthwhile!

Planning a street party, a Jubilee street party well then one has picked up the right magazine as news is at hand in City View: I wrote a poem which is published this year and received a Thank You Letter from
Her Majesty The Queen, Buckingham Palace, London, so at least my work is appreciated!
