India, the so proclaimed ‘Golden Bird’ has always been the
center of global attraction. The ideal blend of culture, talent, leadership
& technology has made this country a hub of investment from giants
worldwide. The unique ‘Unity in Diversity’, a climatic condition which envies
many and a rich mine of resources favors the global endorsement of India’s ever
increasing potential. However, it has also been a constant victim to various scourges
– some inherent while many invited. Though it has been progressing its way like
other big nations, India still remains a ‘developing’ nation according to some
ratings. Many goodwill researches have investigated the malignancies against
the growth of this prosperous land, some of which are depicted below.
1) Scraping the wrongdoers: Though the Indian
constitution has strongly built laws to deal with the corrupt, the practical
scenario has made it virtually impossible for the laws to pick out the bad
apple (in the box) and throw it away. This generally results in a deprived
image of the system in the minds of the citizens.
2) Rewarding the eligible: Similar to punishing the
con men, the Indian system also makes it complicated to honor the gifted people
in their system who have showed prominent honor towards their duties. This
causes the demoralization of those whose work has not been recognized, which
may cause them to flip their coins.
3) Delays in decisions: The peace supportive nation
has had one of the most well defined constitutional foundations ever. However,
various parameters hinder with the theoretical line of action, thus delaying
the result of any proposition. Such hurdles have caused India to holdup beneficial
technological, social & other designs, which when implemented, can bring a
good amount of progress to India’s status with respect to technology,
lifestyle, defense, healthcare services and much more.
4) Low teamwork & social trust: With
multi-billion dollar scams pouring out of the bag and the various social revolts
against the same, the Indian society is shaky than ever. There has been a
considerable widening of the gap of understanding between the top officials,
intermediaries and the citizens. The wrong notion about the system (owing to a
few elements) strengthens peoples’ hatred towards the Government and such a
system is most vulnerable for outsiders to attack. The Indian Government can
take examples of various countries to bridge the gap so as to work with the
people to work ‘for’ the people.
5) Lack of an ideal guide: Every successful mission
needs a perfect director, who not only knows the ins & outs of the legal,
social and global scenario but also knows how to keep up with his people. India
has no doubt some of the most talented people to aid in its advancement, however,
it still lacks that framework which, when followed can bring out the best that
this shining nation can offer to its own people, and to the world, who await
it.
