The Poetry Society London made history in as much as it appointed the first woman Poet Laureate:
Carol Ann Duffy sometime ago and she is also Gay so this is seen as something of a different "take" from
the usual run of the mill Poet Laureates or perhaps contrasts with the previous Holder of the Job of Poet Laureate previous to Carol Ann Duffy; who was Andrew Motion who was not Gay! So Press Associaton has blogged that Scotland could allow Gay marriages and the Scottish Ministers are keen to be seen to be fair and equal
in relation to this highly volatile subject:
However they have not introduced in the Scottish End of the country any legislation of Gay Marriage:
but Ms: Sturgeon ... and fellows ..... believe --- it is --- the right thing to do ---" . However these Parties of a Political saga ... have attracted fierce criticism from religious organisations.
So the Scottish Ministers are waiting till the end of consultation before making a decision.
Give them an inch and they take a mile ... is an old and familiar phrase which echoes the sentiments I suppose
of the public at large however it is a much discussed topic in Britain and in fact there is little else on the
discussion board apart from the issue of "Gay Marriage" and today is no exception!
The UK has a huge populaation which we are told believe in a secular state so perhaps that is all there is to talk about in relation to what is regarded as right and wrong in religious terms and therefore all the people are keen on is a heavy Police Presence on the streets when we fight about who should tell us how to live and whether we wish to join in this fiasco seems not a democratic choice but rather its like a herd of cows blasting its way onto the freeway and never giving way to anyone at all because they are cows not people: Nice work!
