You will receive power after the Holy Ghost came onto you. The power of the Holy Spirit can not become ours, without knowing the Spirit. Holy Spirit is God Almighty, equal to the Father and the Son. Equal to the power, majesty and glory. Whenever we see the Father in the Bible, we see Him as the only speaking and commanding, we see Him as the one of all authorities and powers, the source of all things. When we see the Son, Jesus, we see Him as the administrator in heaven, He is the One who does. The book of Acts started with the words "Jesus began with do and teach." Jesus is the doer on the God's head. When God said 'let us make man,' it was the command from the Father, but Jesus the Son who did that command. It is He, the Son himself, who does all the will of the Father.
But the Holy Spirit is the power who manifested the doing of the Son. The power that bring you to life, the power of the Son, and words of the Father. The Father speaks it, the Son does it, the Holy Ghost manifested it. Trinity always working together, never apart of each other, perfect harmony and Oneness.
And when Jesus came to the earth, the words became a flesh, dwelt among men. But Jesus couldn't perform one miracle, without the words of the Father and the power of the Holy Ghost. The power of the Holy Ghost came upon Him in the river Jordan, and the water of baptism. Then the miraculous began through Him.
When Jesus spoke, it was the Father gave Him what to say what to speak the words. The Father's words are in action, and still speaks through His Son.
It was the Holy Spirit who anointing Him, indulged Him with power and healed the sick, that raised the dead, that give you the power to know God. It was the power of the Holy Ghost, that raised Him from the dead. And after the resurrection, who gave Him the commandment to speak to His disciples. After Jesus came to heaven, the Holy Spirit stayed. The greatest gift that would come to you and i and to the churches, is the Holy Spirit.
We are still in the book of Acts. The Acts of the Holy Ghost. And now the Holy spirit is here in the earth. Why is He here? One glorious reason, to glorify the name of Jesus. To testify the Son, to honor the name of the Son. If Jesus is not glorified, it is because the Holy Ghost is absent. But when the Holy Ghost is present, it will always be Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. He who manifested Jesus. He is the One who makes Jesus is real. He's easily grieved, easily wounded, and always exposed His coming, but never exposed His departure. Precious, holy, harmless. We do not read in the scripture, 'do not grieve the Father' or 'do not grieve the Son,' but do read 'do not grieve the Holy Ghost.'
