Joel
the writing that Mr. tells to the day.
Initial information:
The book of Joel has 3 chapters and 73 versicles. The name of Joel sig: “You he is God”, it is indentificado as “son of Petuel”, (to see. Joel. 1:1). for Halley (2001, P. 361), “the book of Joel, as well as the one of Sofonias, says respect to the coming Judgment. as well as the Apocalypse, Joel predicts the harvest of the land (. 3:13, 14; AP. 14:15, 16). it also presents a prediction of the age of evangelho and the corresponding spilling of the Espirito Santo.
Peculiar intention:
According to Tacitus of Gamma, Joel has the following objective:
prophecy is destined the Judá, the Kingdom of the South. Joel lived in the center of the public cult, in Jerusalem and directed it the Priests whom they gave there. qnado Israel speaks, mentions itself to it the people of God and not to the Kingdom of the North (TACIT, 2002, P. 130).
Date of the Writing of Joel:
According to many scholars of the subject, the definition of the date of the book, the same is of origin daily pay-exílica, perhaps in the days of Joás, king of Judá, that reigned in about 835-832. C. (CHAMPLIN, 2001, P. 3484). Possibly at the time tembém of the reign of Uzias 750. C., some scholars defend the idea in the date most recent; between Oséias and Amós, for reason to have a very similar relation the content of each writing (E enters. SELLIN, 2007, P. 601).
Authorship of the Writing:
Concernente the authorship, the book of Joel for many scholars of the Old Will was not written by its penalty, the same ones inquires that the entire content of the book a little was acrecentado by others. Champlin defines this point of view better.
The book of Joel, was not only written by an author; according to studious, it had a series of supplements, the part of other authors, who would be nationalistic and escatologistas militant. These believe that everything that if reads of Joel. 3:1. in ahead CHAMPLIN, 2001, P. is suplemental ( 3483).
Beyond this detail, a writer of Jeovista line, would have added something more in chapters 1 and 2, the objective of this age to revert the subject of the plague of grasshoppers for the Judgment the holy ghost.
Sketch of the book of Joel.
I. The great day Mr., visa as Immediate: the plague of grasshoppers (to see. Joel. 1:2-7).

3,1 Promises of restoration, spilling of the Espirito Santo, promises of the judgment and salvation are seen in Joel. 2:18 - 32 and 3:1 - 21.
Cloth of deep:
Perhaps with respect to “great plague of grasshoppers and the judgment the holy ghost”, this is the peculiar reason that gave index to the book of Joel. Champlin supports this idea saying: (Champlin, 2001, P. 3484), “the immediate reason of the oracles of Joel was the incident of the severe plague of grasshoppers”. of curious we cannot leave to exactly mention that Joel foresaw a final judgment, in the day Mr. what for many students he was considered as the Armagedom de Deus.
The culminating objective of this book is to take the people to the repentance, so that this people is prepared for the decissívos moments concerning the final events.
Conclusion:
All the catastrophes presented in the oracles of Joel, are sobrevindas to a pecaminosa nation. The people was moved away in the great existing calamity, and the judgment the holy ghost was imminent, immediate and fatal. it did not have as to escape of this judgment, the plague; the invasion Assyrian was reasons for the people to repent and to receive the registered genuine promises in chapters 2 and 3 from Joel.
What God wanted of the nation, was that the same one if is repented of its pecaminoso state.
