The Book of Gensis is first in the Old Testament

The book begins with a description called "Creationism that is the opposite of Evolution"
with the Almighty God as the Word who speaks into existence: light, darkness, the earth, sky with stars and moon and sun and planets, animals, man, woman and all else that has been created in and on the planet earth. He tells man and woman whom someone named Adam and Eve, to take care of the earth and all that is therein. Also God tells them not to eat of "the tree of knowledge" that has been presented in art as an apple. But the woman then the man do eat of that tree then a serpent that represents the antithesis of God, called the Devil or Satan, and tempts her to eat the fruit of the tree. She does and therefore it is believed that sin entered the earth and that from then until the crucifixion of Jesus years later, people must sacrifice the best that they own to God and that blood must be shed to wash away the sin nature that began with Eve.

Genesis continues by telling the story of Adam and Eve''s sons who hated each other and Cain committed the first murder by killing his brother, Abel. Sinful humanity led the Creator God to call on a true and faithful man who loved Almighty God, whose name was Noah, and ask him to build an ark of certain size and blueprint. After, God ask Noah to put 2 of every living thing and his own family in the ark then God caused it to rain 40 days and 40 nights, drowning all living humans and animals. Then He asked Noah and his family to re-plenish the earth.

Later, God found a good and faithful man whom He blessed and to whom He promised that he and all of his descendants would be given certain land which became the land of Israel. The Book of Genesis continues to tell the stories of God as He chooses one good and faithful servant in the descendants of Abraham including Jacob, Israel, Joseph until the famine that lasted 7 years across Israel, Egypt and other area lands.

During that famine, Jacob and his family moved to Egypt where his son, Joseph was a chieftan in the Pharaoh''s service. They settled in cities across Egypt and their population. The book ends when Jacob and Joseph die.
