St.Kitts and Nevis the Best Kept Secret in the Caribbean.

Personal Experience Review   by:Shobaina

St.Kitts and Nevis is the best kept secret in the caribbean and I will tell you why. It is located in the Leeward Islands and is a federal two-island state in the West Indies. It is the smallest sovereign state in the Americas, in both area and population.

What really stands out on St-Kitts and Nevis is the natural aspect. There areMany tropical birds which one rarely finds elsewhere and are present in great concentration. There are also the famous Green monkeys which, it is said, were introduced by the pirates. Indeed, one has only to take a little adventure in the underwoods with some fruit in hand to see oneself quite soon surrounded by monkeys coming gently to meet one to get fed. For the inhabitants of the islands however, the monkeys are not perceived as as big a joy, for these pretty little hairy beings plunder the harvest and nose around everywhere they can go.

The are many places you can visit on both islands just a 40 minute boat ride away. Historic places such as
Catholic, Anglican and other churches, Berkely Memorial, Independence Square, Bloody Point (Stone Fort), Romney Manor (Caribelle Batik), Brimstone Hill Fortress, Black Rocks, R.L.B. Monument, Port Zante and St Kitts Sugar Factory just to name a few. the afore mentioned are all located in st.kitts.

Peak Heaven, Montpelier House, Cottle Church, Jewish Cemetery, Alexander Hamilton House, Bath Hotel and Spring House, Fort Charles the afore mentioned are just seven of the 34 historic sites in Nevis.

The locals on the island are very warm and friendly, easy to approach if direction is needed. It is very easy to get from one point to another with the use of bus, taxi or a bicycle.

The two islands are like sisters similar yet different. If you like night life st.Kitts is the perfect spot for you however Nevis has a few spots too that you will sure enjoy. Nevis on the other hand is very quiet and peaceful , you can stroll on the bay front or head down to lime and sunshine on the beach to enjoy the burn fire.

The best time to travel to these islands are November and December time to enjoy Carnival in St.Kitts or june and july to enjoy Music festival in St.kitts and Culturama in Nevis.

This will be a great experience you will never forget. Its like having two birds in one hand if you know what i mean : )
