The headline reads: Istanbul on $1OO. and it echoes my 4 nights in Istanbul for £199 with Cities Direct which was an all in one and included stay for 4 nights at an Istanbul Hotel, with breakfast included and Computer Room,
Rest Room and Mini Library plus use of a cafe/restaurant attached to my hotel. The Ilkay Hotel in Istanbul is adjacent to the major sights of this great City of Istanbul and its enjoyable to take a walk in and around
the streets of Istanbul where the Turkish Nobel Laureate Orhan Pamuk penned his winning work.
So much for the Culture its important to comment that taking into accouunt the fact that I had worked
and lived in Istanbul it was a great experience to renew my relationship with Istanbul in 2008 on a budget
economy as I am a Retired University Teacher. But I am always thrilled to read that the Offer still stands and its possible to visit and stay in Istanbul for 100 US Dollars. Though I must admit I did pay for extra food and the taxi.. ing to and from Sabina Gocen airport to Central Istanbul to and from the airport to hotel, and got food at budget rates. I suppose the excitement I caused was due to the fact that I was a single traveller unlike working in Istanbul,
so that was a challenge for this author in a Muslim Country but all went according to plan and I phoned my
Turkish writing partner and co writer .......... wherever you are I am . was our common theme!
