Most of the cheap offers for limited period, for travel programmes are traps. We should recheck all aspects before going ahead with the deal. Firstly, the rates could be for off season, for the lowest room category and from an airport closest to the destination and not our home. There are hidden fees in fine print e.g. in-room safe charges, parking charges and resort fees etc. Secondly, additional night free and complimentary up grade is subject to availability. Complimentary night offer is not available during weekends, gazette holidays and peak travel season. Higher room categories are not available when needed by us. Also free stay is not likely to include meals. Thirdly, it is dangerous to pay full in advance say 6 months or more, especially if payment is by credit card. Also cancellation policy may be inconvenient. Fourthly, free sightseeing facility may be subject to availability. Guide charges may be payable. Fifthly, words like luxurious and cozy room etc. are misleading and room could be small and cramped. Enquiries should be made about location of hotel, nearness to eating places, places of interest, size of rooms and about booking particular rooms in advance. Factors like hotel undergoing renovation, repairs or off season make rates discounted, but dust, debris and sound will bother us. Discounts could also be due to change of management, to maintain goodwill.
