The best summer in my life
I am a 19-year-old girl from Hungary. Not hungry,because most of the people from other countries think this. But it’s time to know it’s name exactly through my life.
I am living in the capital of Hungary, which is Budapest. It is a beautiful city. The Danube runs throught the citycentre and there are nine bridges over the river.
The air is a little bit smoggy, but I love the city because of it’s hidden lovely places and for it’s entertaining places.
I was living in Budapest for six years, then my family and I moved to another city, but since five years we moved back to the capital. The reason why I’m telling this story is, that I am a citygirl, but in 2009 I gained such experiences which changed my opinion about living in a city.
I have a boyfriend, and he and some other students organised a festival. No,it’s not about a party, this is more. This was a „building camp”. We tried to build the hired place, where the „Hungarians Nationwide Gathering And Sale” were organised. This means that all over the country come people and we have common programs. For example: we do together traditional hungarian sports, we cook traditional food, so we do activities which are traditional.
I spent one and a half month in the camp. It was marvellous! We had got a cow and it’s calf , 10 chickens, 2 goats, 2 geese, 3 rabbits, 3 horses and two puppies.
We saved the puppies’ life, because they we’re in a factory’s yard, and a man wanted to kill them, because noone wanted to bring them away. We named all of the animals, and took care about them. I love the animals! I was milking the goat every morning and every evening. I had a helper for this job, and we became a very good friends. I have more friends who I know in this camp. Every night came there a band and give a concert or we entertained each other. Every day filled me with happiness and I will never forget these buzzes!
It was not only a good experience, but the sale was successfull too. It was a three-day-long event, but we have to a lot to do. We were sleeping in tents at night. By day I was doing archery, I was cooking and working with the other people.
This summer was my best in my life, and I hope, that I can go in this year too. I am proud of what I was doing for my better life, for the animals, and for the sale. Now I know, that I would like to live on a farm with plenty of animals around me. This is better than citylife, but while I am young I will miss the parties in Budapest, if I move to a farm.
But some years later it would be great.
