Wieliczka lies 10 km from Krakow. Mine descends 327 m underground over nine levels. Since 13th century were build passages, chambers and tunnels in total about 300 km underground city. Only less than 1% of this area is open for public The journey through the mine lasts about three hours starting from 380 wooden steps. Beneath you can find restaurants, chapels, including famous Chapel of St Kinga, halls, art exhibitions or even lakes.
About 40 km from Krakow is The Auschwitz-Birkenau museum. Auschwitz is German translation to name of Polish town of Oswiecim.
