Entertainment and theme parks are one of ideal places for parents to bring their children especially during school holiday. Some people like to go to these parks due to the differences and excitement that these man-made parks can offer. Bungee jumping, multi-storey roller-coaster and 4-D movie are some of the examples that these parks can share the excitement with their visitor. Different theme parks may have different concept to attract visitors and accommodate their family type entertainment needs. Sunway Lagoon theme parks for instance are offering a family type of excitement with a water based concept. As such, visitors can observe that majority of the activity are water based games and the park itself are surrounded with pool of water ponds. Visitors are not only able to swim and play ‘mild’ water games, but for those who are into aggressive type of water games such as water skiing, the park can accommodate them with the water skiing pond. The pond which is specially designed to create enough water current or waves for them to skiing. Undoubtedly, other type of games are also available since the park is designed to fulfill and welcome the whole family to spend their good time . Universal Studios – now has its setup in Singapore is offering visitors with the opportunity to experience themselves with a popular and well known movies and characters in Hollywood film industry.
In Asean region itself, there are many theme parks exists and build up to accommodate the needs of local and regional visitors to flock in and enjoy the facilities offered. However, below listed are only some of those who are considered well-known, recently build and large in size. Sunway Lagoon Resort
located in the state of Selangor may have the biggest and comprehensive theme parks in Malaysia as it has at least five parks which are Water Park, Amusement Park, Extreme Park, Wildlife Park and Cream Scream Park. Tickets are sold based on ala-carte or buffet style where visitors can choose to purchase the all-in tickets or on ride-to-ride basis. Ancol Dream Park, Jakarta has five themes of theme parks has to offer which are Seaworld
, Amusement Park, Dream World, Marina Ancol and Ancol Beach
: I would say this is another great theme parks and what amused me is that not only that it provides lots of facilities and activities for visitors but also themed events such as fashion carnival and so on. Some of the facilities inside the parks may not be available in the other type of theme parks and indeed Ancol Dream Park really depicts its name by the uniqueness that they can offer. For instance, Marina Ancol Park allows visitors to experience floating themselves in the pool without using swimming aid or requires swimming skills. Just as you experience floating in the Dead Sea.
Universal Studios in Singapore located in Sentosa Island. As we all may know, Sentosa Island in this modern yet clean country is the only sub-island in Singapore offer a place to escape from the modern and busy day to day chaos in its city. Universal Studios Singapore i believe has complement the whole unique offering by the island and its main island. The studios which take up the concept from its ever famous Universal Studios in Hollywood owe no explanation but welcome those who have never visit them to put this studio into your next holiday calendar. Hong Kong has two if its amazing parks which are Disneyland and Ocean park. Visit to Hong Kong is not complete if you did not make a visit to these parks. Both parks offers its own uniqueness. Similar to Universal Studios in Singapore, Disneyland in Hong Kong is the Disneyland offering for its fans in Asean that stand up with other Disneyland park such as in Paris and Japan. The design and build up may resembles the main Disneyland in California but different branches i’d say branches offers different type of uniqueness indeed. On the other portion, Ocean Park offers the best in term of provides a different experience to visitors to observe the undersea life especially the special dolphin show. Ocean Park in Hong Kong is located on top of the high hill and to access the park, visitors have to made a choice between two – either to use its cable car (less adventurous) or via the longest and highest escalators in the world (highly adventurous). Trust us, you may rather choose cable car than the escalator.
