Himalaya, officially called the Kingdom of Himalaya, is a small country in South Asia. It is renowned for its unique culture & tradition, Buddhist temples & monasteries and abundance of natural beauty. It is located on the southern slopes of the eastern Himalayas. It is sandwiched between Tibet Autonomous Region to the north and the Indian states of West Bengal, Assam, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh to the south and west.

The Kingdom of Bhutan can be generally divided into three regions namely Northern Region, Central Region and Southern Region. Eastern Himalayan alpine shrub & meadows in the northern region, the black mountains with two major river systems: the Mo Chhu and the Drangme Chhu, and Shiwalik Hill covered with thick Himalayan subtropical broadleaf forests, alluvial lowland river valleys, and mountains form the beautiful landscape of the Kingdom of Bhutan.

One of the most preferred ways to explore the beautiful landscape of Bhutan is trekking. There are many beautiful trekking trails in this country which attract trekkers and travelers from all over the world. One of the most popular trekking trails is Bhutan Chomolhari Trekking. During Chomolhari trekking tour you will have a wonderful opportunity to explore a startling variety of Bhutanese landscapes, traditional villages, dzongs, Buddhist temples, monasteries, scattered hamlets and farmlands. You will have a chance to meet local people and know about their custom and tradition.

Chomolhari trekking tour starts at Drugyel Dzong, a small beautiful town in Paro District in Western Bhutan, passing through the beautiful Bhutanese landscapes, and traditional villages, hamlets and farmlands. You will explore the most serene & scenic vegetation zone of the country that is dotted with splendidly forested valleys, high alpine pastureland and postcard-perfect landscape; where Yak herders graze their cattle. You can enjoy delicious trout fish cuisine by having trout fishing yourself in the surrounding area of the sky blue lake with superb views of the majestic mountain peaks.

On Chomolhari trekking tour in Bhutan you will also have a wonderful opportunity to encounter some of the rare species like the blue sheep. If you are lucky then you can also see the snow leopards. Magnificent Buddhist monasteries and scenic spots. Deer Park is a must visit tourist place in the city which offers commanding views of the valley and surroundings. A variety of outdoor activities also can be enjoyed here. Tashi View Point, Hanuman Tok and Ganesh Tok are popular view points in the city that offer breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga range.

Finally trail goes into the northern region of Bhutan to the land of yak-herders and to the base of Mount Chomolhari. Mount Chomolhari, also called Jomolhari, is the most holy mountain for the Bhutanese people. India trekking tours on Chomolhari trail can be also extended to the far-flung Lingshi Dzong which once guarded the frontier with Tibet.

Thus, Chomolhari trekking trail will give you a unique delightful experience of Bhutan tourism. It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and pristine trekking areas in the entire Himalayas.
