Onrust Island, an island that is part of the archipelago thousand is a very beautiful place.
In addition to having a nautical beauty so often used as venue lovers favorite nautical tourism, the island is also potentially has a history tour.
This island is the island's heritage since the Dutch colonial era, so often are found during the Dutch colonial archaeological heritage of the island.
In his time, this island is often a stopover Dutch ships because this island was a trading port VOC.
Another unique fact about this island is the island in the 1930s it was used as a pilgrim hostel departure.
In terms of the geographical location of the island adjacent to Angel Island.
The island is very easily accessible by sea transport, either through Kamal Muara, Muara Angke and Coastal Marina Ancol at a distance of approximately 14 kilometers can be reached for twenty minutes.
Because of the less popular Onrust Island many people who make the island as a tourist Onrust secondary after Angel Island.
Most people take advantage of the location of the two adjacent islands by visiting the main advance is, only then visit Angel Island Onrust Island.
The sad thing is many government and private developers are not interested in developing the island.
Now the island is leaving two stalls, prisons, some cannons and a doctor's house which is used as a museum.
Other sad thing is that once the extent of the island of 12 acres now just 7.5 hectares.
The island is more appropriate to the historical sights because this place is rich in history, especially the history of the struggle of the nation's colonial Indonesia.
In fact, Captain-Captain of the famous who've stopped by here include James Cook inventor of the continent of Australia with his ship Endeavour in 1770 and Albert Tasman who discovered the island of Tasmania.

That's all my review about this Onrust Island, may be useful.
