Amazing,,,,,,that is the first word that I can say to explain about Lapindo Mud in Sidoarjo (exactly my city). Some people said that "it was an unpredictable accident for the world generally but special for Sidoarjo". No body knows or even predict that it would attack all villages there and made their livings lost like a wind blows. The mud has been burrying land and homes in East
Java’s Sidoarjo district since May 2006, endangering as many as 100,000
people and causing $4.9bn worth of damage.
Few months before the happening of Lapindo Mud, this area was living in peacefully adn wealthy. The people were very kind, gentle and respect each other. I used to go there, visiting my old friends (now, he is nowhere else). But now it just as a memory which I and also all people there won't forget it. All we can see so far is only mud, mud and mud. Many people were crying, suffering and desperates for losing all what they had.
Recently when the President of Indonesia visited the location, he said that the location could be very amazing if all of us wanted to make it different. As to be a tourism destination, studying case of Geography or even public activities. What an idea!!!.
Right now when you pass in front of mud lapindo location, you'll find that this idea is already done by some people there. Fantastic,,!!! The people had made it become "a tourism object". There were more than 50 cars parking everyday just to see the amazing of Lapindo Mud of Sidoarjo. When I see their "cars identity numbers", they weren't people from local area but they were from outside city. Once even I see foreigners bringing their camera having pictures there. Speechless and shock is what stuck in their mind. It's awesome they said. By saying welcome to the local and internasional tourist, Lapindo Mud has already become ONE OF THE MOST VISITING TOURISM DESTINATION IN INDONESIA. So the idea of Mr. President was effective. Let's think that not all disaster bring a suffering but also positive things for us. Just be patient for some victims of Lapindo Mud. You'll never know that one day all will be so beautiful for you.
