WISDOM OF THE HAZRAT SULAIMAN

Long, long, long ago there was an Emperor named Sulaiman. He was not only an Emperor but also a Prophet. He was famous for his vast empire and wisdom.
One day a quarrel out between two men with the motherhood of a baby. The two women used to live side by side in a house. They gave birth to two babies in the same night. But unfortunately one of the babies died just after its birth. One woman was died very pious, while the baby of he pious woman served. But the wicked woman stole the living baby of the pious woman and left the dead baby in its place.
In the morning, when the pious woman found that a dead baby was lying by her side, she becomes shocked. She found that it was not her baby. She understood the wickedness of the other woman. She went to her and said “this dead baby is not mine. It is your baby. My baby did not die. The living baby in your possession is mine.” The wicked woman cried our and said, “The living baby is mine and the dead baby is yours.” As there was n witness, they ay last decided to go to the court of Sulaiman for justice.
Each of the women demanded the living baby for her own. The wise Emperor easily identified the actual mother but he did not at once delivert the child to the actual owner for the cause of justice. He called the executioner and said, “Cut this baby into two pieces and give one pieces to each of these women.”
At this cruel order of the Emperor, the pious woman who was the actual mother of the baby burst into tears and said, “Your Majesty please, doesn’t kill my baby. Allow it to live and give it to that lady so that I may feel that my baby is still alive with her.” The wicked woman on the other hand, kept silent and did not utter even a single word.
Emperor Sulaiman ordered the executioner to handover the baby to the pious woman and to imprison the wicked woman for stealing the baby. The officers and the people present there were much surprised at the wisdom of Sulaiman.
