Fasting Month

Today is Friday, September two thousand and ten. Moeslems have Fasting month. Fasting is obligated for mature Moslems. In this month, they have to fast for one month. They must get up very early in the morning to eat “Sahur” ( the meal eaten before daybreak during the fasting month) the they pray “Subuh” ( the early morning prayer). After daybreak they may not eat and drink, bearing up hunger and thirst until “Maghrib” (sunset prayer). They also have to keep their attitude, mortify the flesh. They also do “Taraweh” after “Isya’ “ prayer and “Tedarus”( group recitation Koran usually by taking turns).
After they fast for one month, they have feast day “ Idul Fitri”. They pray “ Idul Fitri “ after daybreak. They usually wears new clothes, door to door their neighbours, families, friends, etc. They forgive each other. They are happy. Happy Feast Day ! Happy Idul Fitri !
