The story portrayed a love that was betrayed and the pain that result from it which led to vengence
Abubakar has been betrothed to zainab and the both were looking forward for the day when fate will finally join them as husband and wife.
On the other hands, there was a rich man called mallam shehu who has been married for years but Allah has not bless him with any child. One night he dreamth that he went to a market and bought a horse. He rode the horse to his house and showed it to all his house hold, however, when the horse was rideable and beared a foe, he was threw down by the same horse then he woke up from sleep.
The following day, he sent for mallam sabo. The man who was blessed with a gift of interpretation and knows how to make charm . On his arrival, he told mallam shehu the meaning of the dream but his advise for him was to leave everything as Allah will.. But the mallam did not mind the negative side of it since he will be bless with a child.
Once day zainab was going to Abubakar's house when mallam shehu's servant saw her. Quickly, he ran to his master and told him about what he saw. The mallam sent for her that he wanted to marry her which the girl told the reporter that unless he was ready to marry her dead body because she was betrothed to another person.]
With the aid of mallam sabo, zainab's mind was changed and she agreed to marry the rich man.
Abubakar could not face the shame and humiliation, he left the town to a place called " forest of dealth" to seek for vengance which no man has ever gone and returned.
Zainab gave birth to a son who was named Kyuta after her marriage to mallam shehu.
Fate led Abubakar to the forest and brought him back but he lost some part of his body and properties, on his arrival, non of his family could recognise him. He however made zainab's son insane.
Mallam shehu could not believed the sudden change in his son's behaviour. The son caused him a lot of troubles and brought shame on him. To avoid the shame, he took his wife and the both left the town for another town where no one knew them. He later changed his name.
The madness in Kyuta caused him to join arm robbery. He broke into a house and killed the owner,unknowning to him, the man he killed was his father. Instantly, the madness went off. The mother took time and the both went back to their home town. She later told him about her love affairs with Abubakar and how she ended up marry his father. That he was the cause of all their troubles.Kyuta, got angry and cut off Abubakar's head where he was reading his Holy Quran.
