Damascus - A bomb exploded in Damascus, Syria, on Wednesday morning local time, August 15, 2012. The blast happened near the hotel that housed the UN's special envoy, injuring three people. Similarly, the Syrian government official broadcast television, Wednesday, August 15, 2012.
Bomb attached to a car in the parking lot, right behind the hotel causing thick smoke billowing into the air. Because, after it exploded, grabbed a fire truck fully loaded oil tanker.
Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad, said none of the UN observer wounded in the blast. "This criminal act aimed at undermining the impression of Syria."
Targeted attacks are not so clear because the area is a residential area of the Syrian military officials. Even near the hotel, there is the headquarters of the Baath Party.
Video televised pro-government El-Ikhbariya, showed pictures of firefighters busy coping with the fire which destroyed a truckload of oil nearby. A white vehicle parked in the UN's there, covered with dust visible fire scars.
Investigators do not yet know the identity of the bombers, because their bodies are destroyed. is still in the stage of investigation, and do not know what the motive behind these bombers. hopefully it will be known soon
