Breakfast on 3 news team announced the deaath of Gore Vidal at 86 who was a great US writer:
He had lived and worked across an international plane and he was often published in the UK newspapers which are available here to read on Sundays and weekends:
Gore Vidal was a funny man and he wrote about politics and sexuality and had political ambitions at which he had failed as he was never President of the United States of America.
The first time I encountered the works of Gore Vidal was 17 years ago and I had a moment or two to read newspapers in Dublin Ireland and there I found extracts on his great writings; apparently Gore Vidal was a fan of the
Kennedy Clan and its great President JFK and he knew a lot about them; recently I received a blog from the
Turkish Digest and was excited to read that his writings were also available in Istanbul for those keen on such insights into the US writings of Gore Vidal: as a teacher who had taught and was a writer in Istanbul I had a lot of friends and
colleagues whose work would be enchanced by the nature of Gore Vidal's great writings: Often its hard to get fillers for TEFL as most of the stuff available Overseas is Language Books both US and UK and adults find them boring though to the teacher they are the very nature of the lesson as they offer a suitable pitch for examination purposes in written and spoken English
Listening into the BBC Radio 3 Breakfast Show it was interesting to hear the news about the New York Times obituary of Gore Vidal and also the LA Papers according to Petroc Trelawny - were full of the sad passing of the great writer US Gore Vidal and references were made to his expertise in writing also as a novelist who had published a lot of books! Hard work pays UP!
